Downer Group Cadetship Graduation: Celebrating our learners’ success

Downer Group are the largest integrated service provider in New Zealand with projects from Kaitaia to Invercargill in more than 120 locations across the country. With it being the largest integrated service provider, Downer is able to create job opportunities and upskilling programs for people all over New Zealand.

Recently, we had the privilege of witnessing two of our very own, Latu Unga and Siale Vainga from Otahuhu College who came through the Puatala Programme, graduate from the Downers Cadetship Programme, one of the many opportunities on offer with Downer Group.

The Cadetship Programme allows individuals to upskill, and grow ones practical, real-world experience in the industry and begin their journey to gaining a successful career within Downer Group. Latu and Siale will embark on a 6-month work experience this year across Downer Group’s many job opportunities to understand the different roles on offer and eventually pursue an apprenticeship in the area they are interested in.

We are very humbled to have been a part of Latu and Siale’s journey leading up to this moment and we look forward to watching them grow and strive for the best in their future endeavours.
